Early Life and Education
Adam McArthur was born and raised in Pinole, a city in the San Francisco Bay Area. From a young age, he exhibited a passion for performance and martial arts. At 11, he began training in Wushu Kung Fu, eventually expanding his expertise to include judo. His dedication led him to become the All-Around Grand Champion in the Adult Male Traditional category at the 2003 UC Berkeley Chinese Martial Arts Tournament. In 2006, he was featured in the PBS documentary Kung Fu: Journey to the East, where he traveled to China to learn from martial arts masters and perform at the Shaolin Temple. He later appeared in another PBS documentary, Shaolin Kung Fu Monks, in 2014.
McArthur pursued higher education at Pepperdine University, graduating in 2005 with a degree in Acting and Television Production. During his time there, he was actively involved in theater and improv, laying the groundwork for his future career in entertainment.
Voice Acting Career
Adam McArthur's voice acting career took off with his role as Marco Diaz in Disney XD's animated series Star vs. the Forces of Evil, which premiered in 2015. His portrayal of Marco, a teenage boy who embarks on interdimensional adventures with a magical princess, earned him widespread acclaim.
